About Me
Leigh Creighton is a Newcastle-based disability and human rights advocate. He is passionate about sharing his experience as a person living with Down syndrome and regularly speaks at events and on panels across Australia and virtually. Leigh’s passion is promoting good mental health for those with Down syndrome.
Leigh is very active within his community, being involved in the Community Disability Alliance Hunter, The Wilderness Society, and Green Earth Peers. Notably, Leigh is the recipient of the Hunter Diversity and Inclusion Collective’s 2022 Person of the Year.
Leigh is currently working on writing his memoir.
When he’s not working, Leigh loves hitting the karaoke stage, travelling the world with his friends and family, and weight training at the gym.
